Mesas Trigo excels in the adaptability and the service provided to each client
Mesas Trigo is the result of more than 10 years at the forefront of the sector. At every turn, we evolved and anticipated the changes that were to come, always maintaining the essence of the profession and the firm: to stand by each client, to be able to identify and analyze their needs and to offer the best service underpinned by excellence.
A solid relationship
The solid bond between two brothers is the driving force behind the formation of Mesas Trigo. Carlos Mesas, a graduate in Business Administration and Management from the International University of Catalonia (UIC Barcelona), began his professional career at a large and internationally renowned auditing firm. Jaime Mesas, a graduate in Law from ESADE University, began his professional career in one of the Big Four auditing, legal and tax services firms.
Sharing concerns about the professional world, as well as the commonality in their personal values, served to further strengthen their relationship and they began to contemplate the possibility of working together in a law firm, an approach that materialized in a matter of months.
The two brothers teamed up to convert the small firm specialized in accounting and tax law into a collective office of economists and lawyers, then christened Mesas Trigo.
In 2014, in an Andorra in complete legislative tax turmoil, they began to embark on their ambitious project.
The small Andorran firm began to grow and become known throughout the country. Their passion for their work quickly began to bear fruit, soon being involved in large-scale projects and providing legal assistance in matters of great importance for the country.
Una sólida relación
La sólida relación de dos hermanos es el impulso del nacimiento de la firma Mesas Trigo. Carlos Mesas, licenciado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas por la Universidad Internacional de Cataluña, inició su actividad profesional en una gran firma de auditoría con renombre internacional. Jaime Mesas, graduado en Derecho por la Universidad ESADE, inició su trayectoria profesional en una de las cuatro grandes firmas de auditoría, servicios legales y fiscales.
Las mismas inquietudes sobre el mundo profesional, así como la igualdad en los valores personales, sirvieron para que estrechasen aún más sus lazos y empezasen a contemplar la posibilidad de trabajar juntos en un despacho, un planteamiento que se cristalizó en pocos meses.
Ambos hermanos se asociaron para convertir el pequeño bufete especializado en contabilidad y derecho fiscal, en un despacho colectivo de economistas y abogados, bautizado entonces con el nombre de Mesas Trigo.
En 2014, en una Andorra en plena ebullición legislativa impositiva, comenzaron a poner en marcha su ambicioso proyecto.
El pequeño despacho andorrano empezó a crecer y a darse a conocer en el país. La pasión de ambos por su trabajo empezó rápido a dar sus frutos, participando desde muy pronto en grandes operaciones y dando asistencia legal en temas de gran índole para el país.
A project with a bright future
The work carried out for more than five years was also consolidated on this occasion by expanding the firm, establishing its first foreign office in Madrid, led by Antonio Morales-Arce, a partner with a degree in Law from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE).
We began this new adventure in a vulnerable and highly volatile environment, in which the global health crisis forced us all, citizens and companies alike, to focus on what is most important: people. Once the pandemic was over, we continued about our business with more energy than ever, strengthened, if at all possible, by this bitter experience.
